On January 2003 the European Parliament and council adopted the directive
on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The packaging directive
was adopted in an altered form in March 2005. The new battery directive
was adopted in September 2006. All European member states were obliged
to amend national law to the content of these directives: WEEE by August
2005, packaging by September 2006 and batteries by September 2008. Producers
have to comply to this new legislation and take responsibility for their
waste products.
In order to provide answers to the growing amount of questions and demands
from new and existing clients and producers, Recydur has setup the consultancy
service on registration for WEEE, packaging and batteries in 2004. Recydur
consultancy is a dedicated service to assist producers in complying
to the directives and answering to the national interpretations of this
EU directive. Recydur offers assistance for registrations in all European
countries.
As of today, Recydur is consulting for some 60 international producers
with an ever growing satisfied clientele.
